| 03/30/2006 Ford has launched a new special edition of the Fiesta, which majors on the easy use of technology. Rather than simply fitting alloy wheels and fancy paint job, the new Fiesta Freedom incorporates hands-free Bluetooth mobile phone access that plays phone calls through the car speakers plus voice activated audio controls. It also includes a deal with Vodafone who can supply a G3 Nokia N70 phone, cradle and Tom Tom Mobile 5 satellite navigation that is viewed through the phone - although there is a subscription charge for the Vodafone kit (from £25 per month). The new model costs from £8,495 and only 2500 will be made. It does also feature alloy wheels and a "Freedom" badge, so it shares some things in common with traditional special editions...
