| 03/18/2006 Ford Motor Company's top-selling small car, the Fiesta, has just celebrated its 30th anniversary. European sales of the Festiva were up ten percent through February. Ford sold 55,000 new Fiestas in Europe during January and February of 2006. The Western European market in the United Kingdom in February was Ford's most successful market. Ford increased its sales to 16,700 vehicles, up from 15,600 the same time last year. Ford has a 17.7 per cent market share in the U.K. Ford is the United Kingdom's most popular brand. The company's top volume market is in Germany, where 17,900 vehicles were sold in February. Russia and Turkey also posted strong automobile sales. ShortNews.com |
